fly a kite. Keep an eye on the direction of the wind. Make sure you are inline with your buddy with the direction of the wind. To lower the kite simply reel it in. To
fly a kite higher, unreel the string while being
careful not to let it go and lose the kite. If you get creative you can pull the line of the kite in and out and watch it do different tricks.

The best time to
fly a kite is on a day when there is a wind in the air. You should never
fly a kite in a thunderstorm so you will not be
attracted to lightening with a wet line in the sky. The ideal wind is no more than 20 mph. A rule of thumb is if the leaves on trees and bushes are swaying than that is a good time. The spring and the summer time are the most popular and ideal times to
fly a kite throughout the year. It can be a great
outdoor activity to do with friends and family.
